Nambia M. Fagan

Nambia M. Fagan is a highly accomplished military and financial management professional with extensive leadership experience across the United States Air Force and multiple federal agencies. She currently serves as Comptroller/Commander for the Air National Guard, directing financial management policy for a major installation and its geographically separated units. In her role as the Assistant United States Property and Fiscal Officer for Air (Fiscal), she holds statutory authority for the proper obligation, accounting, and disbursement of all Federal funds allocated to the installation. As the principal financial advisor to senior leadership, she plays a critical role in shaping plans, policies, and strategic decisions.

Before assuming her current position, Nambia served as a Budget Officer for the Air National Guard, providing resource management oversight and guiding financial operations that supported mission execution. She also spent six years as a Budget Officer for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, managing financial activities for the Atlanta Field Division.

Earlier in her career, Nambia served as a Budget Analyst for the National Park Service, where she directed storm damage programs totaling over $178 million across the Southeast Region and acted as liaison for 65 National Parks. She also supported the U.S. Air Force in multiple financial roles, including managing group funding exceeding $50 million and acting as a resident expert on the Defense Travel System. Her early military service included budget execution for squadron- and group-level operations and distributing critical Global War on Terrorism funds that enabled AWACS mission readiness.

Nambia’s dedication to service extends back to her time as the Assistant Regional Director of Admissions for the United States Air Force, where she helped broaden minority officer accession pathways and advance educational opportunities.

She holds a Master of Military Operational Art and Science from Air University and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy. Nambia is also certified in Financial Management at Levels 2 and 3.

With a distinguished record of leadership, financial stewardship, and service, Nambia continues to make a meaningful impact across the military and federal landscape.

 

 

 

WOL’s Primary focus is to increase the pool of qualified minority cadets and to provide counsel to its cadets and graduates. WOL places special emphasis on diversity and ensuring the success of future USAFA cadets, current USAFA cadets, and its graduates.
