Chuck Harris

Technology Committee Lead

Class of ’83

Chuck Harris is the Senior Vice President (SVP) for Operations at Pyramid Systems. He is an  award-winning leader who has been recognized for agency-level achievements in Federal  Government Contracting and Program Management. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, he held  a contracting officer warrant, attained the highest-level Department of Defense Certification in  Contracting (Level III) and was selected for service in the Executive Office of the President, Office  of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP). In addition, Chuck led the deployment of the U.S. Air  Force Standard Procurement System as the Deputy Director and served as a Commander for the  Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). He later led the Electronic Data Systems  Subcontracts Management Group and Inflection Point Solutions before transitioning to Pyramid  Systems.  

Chuck is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy (BS) and holds advanced degrees in  Computer Information Systems (MS) and Business Administration (MBA) from St. Mary’s  University (with a Finance concentration from Harvard University).  

Chuck serves on the U.S. Air Force Academy (WOL) Board of Directors, the American Red Cross  (NOVA) Board and the Service to Armed Forces Council. He is also the Chair of the In-school  John Lewis High School committee installing a leadership program designed to mentor the next  generation.  

His other accolades are numerous: Rated in “top 1%” among DCMA business managers,  Recipient of the keys to the City of Montgomery, Alabama, Selected for special service in the  Executive Office of the President, Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP), Honored as Team  Leader for #1 Information Technology (I.T.) innovation in 82,000+ organization–Air Force  Materiel Command Annual Outstanding Achievement in Contracting I.T., Honored as Northrop  Grumman Space Technology Small Business Advocate of the Year, Awarded Massachusetts  House Of Representatives “Positive Role Model” Recognition, Awarded Air Force Electronic  Systems Center Outstanding Officer of the Year in Contracting (Systems), Selected as Air Force  Institute of Technology Education-with-Industry top student among 500+ officers, Recognized as  Officer Training School (OTS) Officer of the Year, Earned Distinguished Graduate (top 2%) status  in gateway Communications Electronics course, Earned highest level DoD professional  Contracting certification in addition to extensive DoD Program Management training, and is a  frequent guest speaker in faith-based venues elevating the spirit, hope, and sense of possibilities  in the community.
