Colonel (retired) Jaron H. Roux is a seasoned aviation professional with an impressive military and civilian career. Currently serving as a Boeing 767 First Officer for Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), he contributes to a company that offers a broad portfolio of global transportation, e-commerce, and business services. In addition to his role at FedEx, Jaron is the Chief Strategy Officer and Interview Coach with Spitfire Elite Consulting, a Black-owned business specializing in executive coaching for pilots aspiring to fly for major airlines.
Jaron retired from the United States Air Force in January 2022 after an esteemed 21-year career, during which he held key leadership positions, including Squadron Commander, Vice Wing Commander, and Wing Commander. As a Command Pilot, Jaron accumulated over 5,500 flight hours, including 900 hours in combat missions in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. He is also a Special Operations Low Level II Evaluator pilot.
Jaron’s education includes a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy, where he graduated in 2000. He further honed his expertise through advanced military education, becoming a distinguished graduate of Air Command and Staff College and earning a Master of Military Operational Art and Science. He also holds a Master of Philosophy in Military Strategy from the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies. Jaron completed the prestigious Secretary of Defense Executive Fellowship at Accenture Federal Services.
Throughout his career, Jaron has flown a variety of aircraft, including the B747, B767, T-37B, T-1A, T-52A, C-17A, and KC-10. His military flying experience took him to critical staff positions at the Headquarters United States Air Force Academy, the Joint Staff, and Headquarters Air Mobility Command.
Colonel Roux’s combination of military leadership, strategic expertise, and aviation experience positions him as a leading figure in both the defense and commercial aviation sectors.
