Accelerating The Legacy

Capt Nic Young (’14) and his team are hosting the 3rd annual” Accelerating the Legacy”, a 3-day Tuskegee Heritage event. The event will be hosted at Joint Base Charleston, SC, and take place February 16-18, 2023. This will be a star-studded event with guest speakers to include the United States Air Force Chief of Staff- General Charles “CQ” Brown, Documented Original Tuskegee Airmen -Lt Col (Ret) James Harvey, Theresa Claiborne – The First Black female pilot in the Air Force, USAFA Superintendent Lt General Richard Clark, Col Terrence Taylor – The First Black AFSOC Wing Commander, as well as other amazing senior leaders! In addition to the luncheon and discussion panels, Capt Young has partnered with Legacy Flight Academy and Civil Air Patrol to offer 200 students, ages 10-19 in attendance, the opportunity to fly in an orientation flight! This heritage event will focus on promoting professional development, mentorship, empowerment, and student outreach to advance the Tuskegee Airmen’s Legacy.
